Our policies
Read these before you book. They start from one promise: you are covered, you choose the pressure, and you can stop.
Undressing and draping
You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time. Only the part we are working on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on. Wear shorts or loose athletic clothes; whatever you keep on, we work around.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before we start we ask about pressure and any area to leave alone. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.
When to ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, have had surgery or are being seen about an injury, ask your doctor or other provider before you book, and tell your therapist at the start. We do not diagnose, and we work with your provider's go-ahead, not around it.
Booking and deposits
There is no deposit for a single session; choose a length and a time on the booking page and you are set. A club or team booking several people puts down a deposit that holds the time and goes toward the sessions.
Canceling and running late
Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel, since your therapist has held that hour. If your event is called off for weather, or you are ill, tell us and we will move your session to another day. A late arrival shortens the session so the next person starts on time.
If you miss an appointment
If you do not arrive and we cannot reach you, the session counts as a missed appointment and we may ask for a card before you book again. We would rather hear from you, so call or text and we will find another time.
Children and companions
Massage is for adults. A friend or family member may wait in the front room. A group session sets its own space, and each person is covered for their own session.
Oils, scents and allergies
We use an unscented oil or lotion unless you ask for something else, and we can tell you every ingredient we use. Tell us about a nut or fragrance allergy when you book and we will use something different.
If you're not happy
If a session was not right, tell us within a few days and we will make it right.
Tipping
Tipping is optional and always appreciated. You can add it when you pay, or hand it to your therapist.
